Once you have decided when you are going to hold your Events Week, you then need to decide what the week will include.
There are two big issues to think through:
Events Weeks tend to vary from three to five days in length.
We would suggest a minimum of three days so that you have time to build a sense of momentum. If you’re running your first week and / or your group is very small you may want to consider starting here.
The more days you do, the more opportunity to build momentum, and those who come to each event will hear more of the gospel. However, it will also obviously require more work!
We would suggest that you need at least one event per day where the gospel is publicly proclaimed. This would normally be an Evening Event as this happens at a time when most people are available, and are under fewer time constraints. (See Evening Events)
It is worth thinking about how these events fit with the Evening Events, both in terms of timing and content.
As well as your events, it is good to have a time each day to pray together. You will also want to plan in time to publicise the events and engage in first-contact evangelism.
Once you have decided how many days, and how many events you will run, you are ready to start using the Event Planner to help you in the planning process.
